Coconut Bliss Ice Cream...Pure Bliss

Sometimes the name of a product just gets it right. Coconut Bliss is one such item that screams “legit,” especially when looking at the last word in their name. "Bliss" is indeed what you think and feel when eating this incredibly smooth, non-dairy, soy and gluten free ice cream that, in a variety of flavors, gets its core sweetness from organic coconut milk and organic agave syrup. An all-natural, organic alternative to more traditional dairy+sugar carnations, Coconut Bliss simply tastes incredible and leaves you feeling good after. In fact, it was this last element that inspired the creation of Coconut Bliss in the first place. A quote from co-founder Larry Kaplowitz explains:[su_quote]When people ask us how we came up with Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss we’d like to say that we are entrepreneurial geniuses, but the truth is much humbler. We just wanted a dairy-free ice cream that tasted as good as it made us feel.[/su_quote]Since we know a picture is worth a thousand words (especially a moving one), let's take a look at the great video on the Coconut Bliss website that shares their story of creation: Video Courtesy: CoconuntBliss.com

Some Truly Wonderful Flavors

As I was just recently first alerted to the existence of Coconut Bliss when they became a client of Portco Packaging, I now consider myself enlightened. In fact, it was just last night that I had my first experience with this delectable treat and it made writing this blog post very, very easy. I'll admit my initial skepticism, not being a classic "coconut fan." However, boy was I surprised. Not only was there no obvious taste of coconut (I tried the Salted Caramel and Chocolate...Mmmmm), this dessert rivals the best ice cream you’ve had. So how can one not just dive into this tasty new experience? Take a look at the spoons shot below and tell me (if real) that you could hold back picking one (or all) of these up? Just four of the many wonderful flavors on offer from Coconut Bliss. I tried Salted Caramel and was not disappointed. Hailing from Eugene, Oregon, which is close to my roots, had I known about this ice cream revolution I would have been camped out! The picture and set of links below shows just how much they have expanded from those earliest of daysHere are the wonderful flavors of Coconut Bliss...and don't forget their Salted Caramel Ice Cream Bar!
